WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) An upper low pressure storm system will be crossing over south Texas over the next 24 hours with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms expected mainly in areas south of Austin.

(2) In the wake of the early week system, we will find ourselves in a pretty stable fall weather pattern beginning tomorrow and continuing into Thursday with afternoon high temperatures warming back to above seasonal averages.

(3) In lower confidence forecast, a strong upper level low pressure disturbance and an associated surface cold front is forecast to approach and then slowly move across Texas beginning Friday. Clouds and rain and thunderstorm chances show up again on Friday and continue into the weekend.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance suggests 0.50 to 1.00 inch rainfall over the next seven day forecast period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high to very high confidence forecast through Thursday before falling back to a medium confidence forecast for Friday through the weekend.

TONIGHT…. Increasing clouds becoming mostly cloudy. Scattered rain showers developing after 12 midnight in areas mainly south of Austin. Rainfall, given a 40%chance of rain at any given location, will average 0.10 inch or less. Low 59. Light east southeasterly wind becoming calm.

TUESDAY…. Mostly cloudy with a few rain showers before noon. Becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. Rainfall, given a 20%chance of rain at any given location, will average trace amounts. High 76. Calm wind becoming west northwest 4 to 8 mph in the morning and then southeasterly in the afternoon.

… After Morning Thunderstorms and Lightning, No Hazards Expected …

AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A strong upper air low pressure disturbance and cold front is crossing the IH35 corridor and has resulted in scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances will decrease by this afternoon and tonight I the wake of the front.

(2) Drier conditions and a more stable air mass will prevail by late tomorrow night through the weekend and into Halloween and the new week under a clear to partly cloudy sky. Cooler temperatures will prevail the first part of the weekend before a warm up gets underway Sunday into the first part of next week.

(3) Another low pressure storm system looks to approach Texas with clouds and rain and thunderstorm chances again by the latter part of next week.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance suggests, beyond today, 0.25 to 0.50 inch rainfall over the next seven day forecast period.
