(a) A cold front is moving eastward out of the area this morning with rain showers and thunderstorms now well east of the IH35 corridor.

(2) Skies have already cleared as drier and cooler air moves into the area in the wake of the front as surface high pressure moves in from the Rockies through the remainder of the week into our weekend.

(3) Surface high pressure will move east of the area with a return south southeasterly surface wind by late in the weekend into next week ahead of our next cold front in the Tuesday into Wednesday time period.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting limited rainfall over the next seven day period (beyond this morning’s rain) with perhaps 0.10 inch or less next Tuesday.

(1) Our next big weather change comes early tomorrow as a cold front moves through the area in the early morning time period with rain showers and thunderstorms expected late tonight through the morning rush hour.

(2) Skies will clear as drier and cooler air moves into the area in the wake of the front as surface high pressure moves in from the Rockies for the latter part of the week into our weekend.

(3) Surface high pressure will move east of the area with a return south southeasterly surface wind by late in the weekend into next week ahead of our next cold front in the middle part of next week.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, over the next seven days, is predicting about 0.50 inch of rainfall over the next seven day period.
