AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A trough, or line, of upper air low pressure has crossed the central plains states with a resulting cold frontal passage locally in the pre dawn hours this morning.

(2) A dry and stable fall weather pattern is expected with plenty of sunshine through the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Temperatures will be near to slightly below seasonal averages.

(3) Another dry cold front will progress north to south into our area late Sunday night into early Monday morning basically allowing for a reinforcement of the air mass in place over the area.

(4) Our next chance of increased clouds and rain comes late Wednesday into next Thursday (just ouside of the seven day forecast period) as another low pressure area and cold front moves through the area. This will be highly depending on how efficient moisture return is in advance of the front the middle part of next week.. this is something I am not highly confident of at this point.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting little in the way of precipitation for our area over the next seven days.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
Very high confidence through Tuesday.. medium confidence Wednesday into Thursday.
