AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) With surface high pressure having moved east of the area, a southeasterly surface wind continues with a warming trend underway. Late night and early morning low clouds will continue through tomorrow with patchy morning fog as well.

(2) A trough, or line, of upper air low pressure will cross the central plains states by the mid into latter part of the week. A initial cold front will move through Texas tomorrow night into the pre dawn hours Thursday as the upper level trough progresses eastward through the plains. Little in the way of clouds or precipitation is expected with the cold frontal passage.

(3) A dry and stable fall weather pattern is expected with plenty of sunshine Thursday and Friday and into the weekend. The latest atmospheric computer model guidance suggests less impact from a secondary surge of cooler air on Friday; as a result, in agreement with the latest model guidance, I will be adjusting temperatures upward a few degrees FRiday through the weekend.

(4) Another dry cold front will progress north to south into our area late Sunday resulting in a little cooler temperatures Sunday night into the new week.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting little in the way of precipitation for our area over the next seven days.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
Very high confidence through Sunday.
