AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) Another nice day weather wise today with plenty of sunshine and well above average temperatures.

(2) Low level moisture and clouds will be on the increase tonight into tomorrow in advance of a cold front due after midnight tomorrow night.

(3) In the wake of front late tomorrow night, clouds will persist with much cooler temperatures Wednesday as the front weakens and becomes stationary in an west-to-east fashion to our south. An overrunning pattern becomes established with clouds thickening and lowering with rain chances returning Wednesday night through Thanksgiving Day.

(4) An advancing upper level trough.. or line.. of upper level low pressure and associated cold front will surge eastward across Texas by late Friday into Saturday with the rain chances increasing a bit with a few thunderstorms thrown in for good measure. The NWS/Storm Prediction Center is mentioning a severe thunderstorm risk for parts of Texas and Oklahoma into the lower and middle Mississippi Valley for the time period so we need to monitor this closely given Thanksgiving travel.

(5) In the wake of the cold front laet Saturday, skies will clear and cooler temperatures will prevail Saturday night through Sunday before another warm up again early next week.

AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) A strong surface cold front passed through the area just before and into daybreak this morning. Because the front may outpace as associated upper level low pressure disturbance, clouds and a few sprinkles may continue into the afternoon before clouds break later this afternoon into tonight.

(2) A drier and more stable weather pattern with temperatures falling back to below season averages is likely for our upcoming weekend.

(4) Southerly surface winds and increased moisture, with increased clouds and humidity, will be seen for the first part of next week as another cold front approaches and moves into the area by Tuesday.
