.. Drier and A Little Cooler Through the Week into the Weekend ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… a surface cold front extends southwestward from northern and central Georgia to coastal Mississippi then west southwest to the middle Texas coast then into Mexico west of Eagle Pass. To the north of the front, surface high pressure extends from northern Oklahoma to western Nebraska. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are northerly.

Upper air map… a deepening upper level low pressure trough is located from Hudson Bay through the Great Lakes region into the southeastern USA. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are light northerly.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

A cold front passed through the area about midnight last night.

We’ll see a little cooler and drier air take hold in the wake of the front today through the remainder of the week and through the weekend with temperatures a little below seasonal averages.

Have a good Wednesday….
