.. Little Change ..
.. Considerable Sunshine and Above Average High Temperatures ..

On the Weather Map…
On the surface map… surface high pressure is located over the eastern Gulf of Mexico and Florida and over the four corners region. A trough, or line, of low pressure and surface cold front extends from a surface low over the Kansas/Nebraska border southwestward into eastern and southern New Mexico. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds across south central Texas are southerly.

Upper air map… a broad low pressure trough extends southward from south central Canada through the southwestern USA with a leading disturbance, within the broad counter clockwise rotating trough, into the central plains states. Upper level high pressure, acting like a “lid” on the atmosphere, extends from the northwest Gulf of Mexico into south Texas. As a result of this upper air weather pattern, the 30,000 foot winds over our area are light northwesterly.

What I am Seeing As I Look Ahead…

Upper level high pressure continues overhead with plenty of sunshine and slightly above average afternoon high temperatures expected. There will be areas to our east where rain chances may be higher for late week into the weekend so some towering clouds may be visible to our distant east.

Little change is seen through most of the week and through the coming weekend.

Have a good Wednesday….
