AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) As surface high pressure, and its associated surface clockwise circulation, continues east of our area, the south southeasterly surface wind flow continues to increase low level moisture with more clouds today and through much of our upcoming weekend.

(2) By Sunday, enough moisture and instability will be in place for a few rain showers ahead of a weakening cold front that is forecast to cross the IH35 corridor during the afternoon/evening hours. A little cooler temperatures are likely to follow the front into the new week with clouds decreasing a little Sunday night into Monday and Tuesday.

(3) A secondary upper air disturbance and associated cold front will move east southeastward across the area late Tuesday into Tuesday night with increased cloud cover. Clouds will break in the wake of the front by Wednesday with sunshine expected through Thanksgiving Day.

(4) Just beyond the seven day forecast period, a third upper air disturbance and associated cold front will likely move across Texas by next Friday with increased cloud cover and perhaps even some slim rain chances.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, indicates 0.10″ or less with most areas remaining rain free.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High to Very High Confidence through Saturday night
Medium to High Confidence Sunday through Thursday

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) As surface high pressure, and its associated surface clockwise circulation, continues east of our area, the south southeasterly surface wind flow will continue to increase low level moisture with more in the way of clouds for the latter half of week and through much of our upcoming weekend.

(2) By Sunday, enough moisture and instability will be in place for a few rain showers ahead of a rather strong cold front that is forecast to cross the IH35 corridor during the afternoon hours. Much cooler temperatures are likely to follow the front into the new week with an overrunning pattern persisting meaning clouds and some rain chances and cooler than average temperatures through Monday into Monday night.

(3) Partial clearing along with a bit of a warming trend will take hold for Tuesday and likely continuing through midweek as well as the Thanksgiving holiday period.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, indicates less than 0.25″.
