AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Surface high pressure is now just east of our area into the lower Mississippi Valley. As a south southeasterly surface wind becomes reestablished, expect a dry and stable weather pattern over the next 24 to 48 hours with clear or mostly clear skies with abundant sunshine. Temperatures will be above seasonal averages.

(2) As we see a return to a established south southeasterly surface wind flow return by tomorrow, we’ll start seeing increased low level moisture and a few more clouds for the latter half of week and through much of the upcoming weekend.

(3) By Sunday, enough moisture and instability will be in place for a few rain showers ahead of a strong cold front that is forecast to cross the IH35 corridor during the afternoon hours. Much cooler temperatures are likely to follow the front for the first few days of next week with an overrunning pattern persisting meaning clouds and some rain chances and cooler than average temperatures.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, indicates 0.25″ or less.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High to Very High Confidence through Saturday night
Medium Confidence Next Sunday
