SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) A somewhat more stable weather pattern continues. Although rain chances remain in the forecast through midweek, the chances are slim and rainfall amounts will be minimal. By late week, I’m dropping rain chances from the forecast as the atmosphere stabilizes.
(2) By the weekend, a little bit of more northwesterly wind aloft to our north will allow for a weakening surface cold frontal system to backdoor its way into the north central and northeast Texas. While the system, in the latest guidance from the NWS/Weather Prediction Center, becomes stationary and weakens to our north and east, let’s keep an eye on things in case we see an increase in rain shower and thunderstorm chances to our north and northeast that could potentially move south. At this point, I feel like there’s considerable uncertainty and low confidence in forecast guidance and, as a result, I’m maintaining slim rain chances in our forecast for the time period.
