SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) After a few rain showers and thunderstorms over the weekend, a somewhat more stable weather pattern is unfolding for the new week. Although rain chances remain in the forecast through midweek, the chances are slim and rainfall amounts will be minimal. By mid into late week, I’m dropping rain chances from the forecast as the atmosphere stabilizes.
(2) By next weekend, a little bit of more northwesterly wind aloft to our north will allow for a weakening surface cold frontal system to backdoor its way into the north central and northeast Texas. While the system, in the latest guidance from the NWS/Weather Prediction Center, becomes stationary and weakens to our north and east, let’s keep an eye on things in case we see an increase in rain shower and thunderstorm chances to our north and northeast that could potentially move south. At this point, I feel like there’s considerable uncertainty and low confidence in forecast guidance and, as a result, I’m adding slim rain chances to our forecast for the time period.
