… Isolated Afternoon Thunderstorms with Lightning Threat …

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) After a few more rain showers and thunderstorms than I anticipated yesterday, a more stable weather pattern begins today. Although rain chances remain in the forecast today, I’m dropping the chance a little mentioning only isolated coverage and the fact that any rainfall amounts will be minimal.
(2) Tomorrow through Friday, as the atmosphere stabilizes even more, sunshine and afternoon high temperatures near 100 will continue.
(2) By Friday night into the weekend, a little bit of more northwesterly wind aloft to our north will allow for a weakening surface cold frontal system to backdoor its way into the north central and northeast Texas. While the system, in the latest guidance from the NWS/Weather Prediction Center, becomes stationary and weakens to our north and east, let’s keep an eye on things in case we see an increase in rain shower and thunderstorm chances to our north and northeast that could potentially move south. At this point, I still feel like there’s uncertainty and low confidence in forecast guidance and, as a result, I’m keeping my slim rain chances in our local forecast for the time period.
