AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Southerly winds are continuing to result in return low level moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and above average temperatures.

(2) Our next upper level low pressure storm system and associated surface cold front will move through Texas by late tonight into the predawn hours tomorrow with a good chance of rain showers and thunderstorms with some stronger thunderstorms possible primarily in areas well north of Austin.

(3) In the wake of the cold front, passing the local area during the morning hours Wednesday, drier and a little cooler air will once again take hold locally with plenty of sunshine by midday Wednesday and continuing into the upcoming weekend.

(4) A secondary cold front will basically reinforce the air mass in place as it passes Saturday morning.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting around 0.25 inch over our area over the next seven day period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
