WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

…. No Weather Hazards Expected ….

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Southerly winds increased resulting in return low level moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and above average temperatures as we begin the new week.

(2) The next upper level low pressure storm system and associated surface cold front will move through Texas by tomorrow night into the predawn hours Wednesday with a good chance of rain showers and thunderstorms with some stronger thunderstorms possible primarily in areas north of Austin.

(3) In the wake of the cold front, passing the local area during the morning hours Wednesday, drier and cooler air will once again take hold locally with plenty of sunshine by midday Wednesday and continuing into the upcoming weekend.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting around 0.25 inch over our area over the next seven day period.

TODAY…. Some morning low clouds otherwise mostly sunny. High 85. Southerly wind 8 to 15 mph with some higher gusts.

TONIGHT…. Mostly clear early then becoming mostly cloudy late. Low 64. South southeasterly wind 8 to 15 mph.

TUESDAY…. Some morning low clouds otherwise partly cloudy, breezy and more humid. High 86. Southerly wind 10 to 20 mph with some higher gusts.

TUESDAY NIGHT…. Becoming cloudy with scattered rain showers and a few thunderstorms after midnight with an associated lightning threat. Rainfall, given a 60% chance of rain at any given location, will average 0.25 inch or less. Low 62. South southwesterly wind 8 to 15 mph becoming more westerly after midnight.

WEDNESDAY…. Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms before 8am with an associated lightning threat as a cold front passes. Early morning rainfall, given a 40% chance of rain at any given location, will average less than 0.25 inch. Decreasing clouds by 9am then becoming sunny, breezy and less humid. Not quite as warm. High 83. Westerly wind early shifting northwesterly 8 to 18 mph with some higher gusts.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT…. Mostly clear. Low 48. North northwesterly wind decreasing to 5 to 12 mph.

THURSDAY…. Sunshine. High 79. Northerly wind 5 to 10 mph becoming more northeasterly by late afternoon.

THURSDAY NIGHT…. Mostly clear. Low 51. Light east northeasterly wind.

FRIDAY…. Mostly sunny. High 82. Light easterly wind becoming more southeasterly by afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT…. Mostly clear early then becoming mostly cloudy late. Low 60. Southeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph.

SATURDAY…. Some morning low clouds otherwise partly cloudy as a weak cold front passes. High 84. South southeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph shifting northwesterly 5 to 12 mph.
