AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) The NWS/National Hurricane Center (NHC) continues to issue advisories on tropical cyclone Delta, over the Gulf of Mexico. This system is making landfall late Friday on the southwestern Louisiana coast which will result in the dry stable weather pattern continuing.

(2) Sinking motion on the outer periphery of Delta will result in a warmer than average afternoon high temperatures over the next two days which means highs back well into the 90s, and perhaps near record levels, for our weekend (particularly on Sunday).

(3) A dry cold front will move southeastward through the IH35 corridor by midday on Monday with slightly cooler temperatures following into the middle part of next week.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, forecasts no precipitation with temperatures well above average for the weekend then near average beginning Monday through Thursday.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…

AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) The NWS/National Hurricane Center (NHC) continues to issue advisories on tropical cyclone Delta, over the Gulf of Mexico. This system, based on the official NHC forecast, will stay well to our east over the coming days which will result in the dry stable weather pattern continuing through the Louisiana coast landfall tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow evening. To our east, some rain showers in the westernmost rain bands may extend westward into southeast Texas, the eastern parts of the Texas coastal plains and the Brazos Valley when the system makes its closest approach during the period after midnight tonight into the morning hours Friday. Although I am increasing clouds a bit for tonight into Friday, at this time, I do not expect any rain as far west as the IH35 corridor.

(2) Sinking motion on the outer periphery of Delta will result in a warmer than average afternoon high temperatures over the next few days which means highs around 90 through tomorrow and then well into the 90s, and perhaps near record levels, for our weekend.

(3) A dry cold front will move southeastward through the IH35 corridor by midday on Monday with slightly cooler temperatures following into the middle part of next week.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, forecasts no precipitation with temperatures near to slightly average overall through Monday.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
