AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) After yesterday’s rain shower and thunderstorm activity (much more than I expected!), there appears to be a general stabilization of the air mass for the coming days so I will keep the seven day forecast rain free. Temperatures will be warming a bit over the coming days.

(2) Atmospheric model and manual guidance suggests the southward advancement of a weak cold front by late Sunday night into Monday. At this point, temperatures will not change much and rain chances are too slim to mention in the forecast.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting no rainfall over our area for the next seven day forecast period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.

AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Even though we could see an isolated afternoon into early evening thunderstorm today with rain chances less than 20% for any location over south central Texas.. there still appears to be a general stabilization of the air mass for the coming days so I will, after today, keep the seven day forecast generally rain free. Temperatures will be warming a bit over the coming days.

(2) I’m watching atmospheric model and manual guidance suggesting a shifting upper air wind pattern which would support the southward advancement of a weak cold front by late Sunday night into Monday. I’ll hold off of any rain chances until my forecast confidence increases a little more.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting an average rainfall of
less than 0.25 inch over our area for the next seven day forecast period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high to very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
