AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) The stable early fall weather pattern continues with a warming trend in advance of a weak reinforcing cold front due by this evening. This will basically keep the dry weather pattern in place through our upcoming weekend.

(2) The surface high pressure area, in the wake of the front this evening, will move eastward and we’ll see a return to a southerly surface wind by late tomorrow. A warming trend starts Saturday before yet another dry cold front moves southward through the area by Sunday midday with the air mass being reinforced with a dry weather pattern continuing into the new week.

(3) A final note.. the NWS/National Hurricane Center (NHC) continues to watch for surface low pressure development over the coming days over the northwestern Caribbean Sea. According to NHC meteorologists, there is a 70% chance of development into a tropical cyclone over the next 5 days as the system moves slowly west northwestward. I’ll continue to keep an eye on this system.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, forecasts no precipitation with temperatures near average overall through Wednesday.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
