AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Surface high pressure is east of the area with a south southeasterly surface wind prevailing locally.

(2) A strong surface cold front will move south southeasterly into the area by late tonight into the predawn hours tomorrow. As it moves into the area, low level moisture and instability will be increasing. In addition, a stronger mid/upper level low pressure disturbance, produced abundant atmospheric lift, will lagging behind the front a bit and will be slowly moving across the area Wednesday into Wednesday night. As a result, scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms are expected, mainly back in the cooler air that will be spilling into the area tomorrow afternoon through tomorrow night and early Thursday.

(3) A cooler, drier and more stable fall weather pattern will return with partial clearing late Thursday and continuing through the upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine and below average temperatures.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting 0.50 to 1.00 inch over the next seven days.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High to very high confidence through Monday.
