AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) As we start the new week, with the departure of the upper level low pressure system yesterday, clouds linger this morning; drier air with a partly cloudy sky will develop later today as surface high pressure settles in overhead.

(2) Clouds will increase again by tonight ahead of a reinforcing dry cold front that will move through the area tomorrow night. This front will act to simply reinforce the drier air mass in place through Thursday with abundant sunshine expected.

(3) Another upper level low pressure disturbance will pass west-to-east to our north by late Friday into Saturday and allow a surface cold front to surge eastward through the area about daybreak on Saturday. Clouds will increase in advance of the system with a slim chance of rain late Friday night into Saturday morning with clouds clearing out west-to-east for Saturday into Sunday.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, over the next seven days, is suggesting trace amounts or no rainfall for the IH35 corridor.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High to Very High Confidence through Sunday

AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) After record breaking high temperatures yesterday, another dry day for Texas. With abundant sunshine, temperatures will warm to above seasonal averages.

(2) Moisture will be on the increase by later today into tonight ahead of an approaching upper level low pressure disturbance and associated surface cold front that is due to cross the IH35 corridor by tomorrow afternoon. Scattered rain showers are possible beginning late tonight and continuing into late Friday until the initial disturbance and surface front passes through the area. Clouds will break by late tomorrow into tomorrow night with sunshine returning for Saturday.

(3) Complicating the matter is that another upper air low pressure disturbance will move over the area as the cooler surface based air, in the wake of the front, gets settled in Saturday night into Sunday. This will result in increased clouds and a few sprinkles in an overrunning pattern.

(3) With the departure of the second system, drier air with a clearing sky will once again take hold later on Sunday and continue into the new week as surface high pressure settles in overhead.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, over the next seven days, is suggesting rainfall of less than 0.25″ for the IH35 corridor.
