AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A dry and stable air mass continues over Texas. With abundant sunshine, temperatures will warm to above seasonal averages through tomorrow.

(2) Moisture will be on the increase by late tomorrow ahead of an approaching upper level low pressure disturbance and associated surface cold front that is due to cross the IH35 corridor by late Friday. Scattered rain showers are possible beginning late Thursday night and continuing into late Friday until the initial disturbance and surface front passes through the area.

(3) Complicating the matter a bit is that another upper air low pressure disturbance will move over the area as the cooler surface based air, in the wake of the front, gets settled in Saturday into early Sunday. This will result in increased clouds and a few sprinkles in an overrunning pattern.

(3) With the departure of the second system, drier air with a clearing sky will once again take hold Sunday morning and continue into the new week as surface high pressure settles in from the Rockies.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, over the next seven days, is suggesting rainfall of less than 0.25″ for the IH35 corridor.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
