AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) The cold front to our south has weakened and returned back northward as a warm front which has allowed, as predicted, a return southerly surface wind as evidenced by some morning clouds and patchy ground fog in eastern areas near LaGrange and Giddings. A stable and much warmer than average (potentially record breaking) weather pattern will continue into late week.
(2) Another low pressure area and a stronger cold front will cross Texas late Friday night into Saturday with a few rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. In the wake of the front, skies will clear with much cooler temperatures – back closer to seasonal averages – due for the weekend.
(3) By late in the day Monday, southerly surface winds will return as surface high pressure moves east of the area. This will result in increased low level moisture and some increased cloud cover along with warmer temperatures for the early into mid part of next week.
NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting less than 0.10 inch of rainfall for our IH35 corridor over the next seven days.
MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
