AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Some morning low clouds, patchy fog and a sprinkle or two prevail this morning as an upper air low pressure disturbance slides eastward over the area. By later today and into the weekend, as the upper air disturbances moves east of the area, a mix of clouds and sunshine is expected to persist over south central Texas as southerly surface winds prevail and afternoon high temperatures continue well above seasonal averages.

(2) Another weak cold front will move into the area late Sunday night with a slim chance of rain. Cooler temperatures will follow the cold frontal passage, however, the front will weaken to our south pretty quickly and return northward as a warm front by late Monday into early Tuesday.

(3) Another cold front appears likely for late Tuesday night into early Wednesday with cooler temperatures to follow for Wednesday and Wednesday night but I do expect a quick return to a southerly wind and warmer temperatures by next Thursday.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting less than 0.25 inch of rainfall for areas mainly east of the Austin area/IH35 corridor over the next seven days.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
High to very high confidence through Sunday.. high confidence Sunday night through Thursday.
