AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) With upper level high pressure, anchored to our west over the southern Rockies, acting like a “lid” on the atmosphere, little change is expected as a stable summer weather pattern continues. Abundant sunshine will continue through the remainder of the week ahead with afternoon high temperatures staying well above 100 degrees – well above seasonal averages – with elevated heat indices.

(2) By the weekend, upper level high pressure will settle more to the east and be centered off to our distant northeast extending westward to north and northwest of our area. This means a little less of the atmospheric “lid” being overhead and I will bring down afternoon high temperatures over the weekend into next week.. but only a few degrees.
Afternoon highs will remain well seasonal averages.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting no rainfall over our area over the next seven day forecast period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
