AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Surface high pressure is moving eastward out of the area as we get our Tuesday underway with a southerly surface wind developing by this afternoon.

(2) A strong upper level low pressure disturbance and associated surface cold front is anticipated by late tomorrow night into Thanksgiving Day with numerous rain showers and thunderstorms possible as early as Wednesday evening. Cooler air will once again spread southward through the area by midday into the afternoon Thursday with rain chances lingering back in the cooler air well into Thanksgiving Day.

(3) Skies will partially clear Friday; however, an upper air low pressure disturbance will pass overhead by late Friday night through Saturday into Sunday with increased clouds and a slim chance of rain for our area.

(4) Expect any rain chances to drop from the forecast by late Sunday as skies partially clear Sunday night into Monday.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting 0.50 to 1.00 inch of rain for our area over the next seven days.
