AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Freezing/frozen precipitation continues as an upper air low pressure disturbance moves west-to-east overhead. Precipitation should taper off by mid to late afternoon.
With accumulations, the impacts along the IH35 corridor will continue through today and tonight and in the morning hours tomorrow. In addition, with air temperatures in the 20s and gusty northerly wind, expect wind chill temperatures to be in the single digits and teens. Accordingly, the NWS/Austin-San Antonio continues a WINTER STORM WARNING for the Austin metro area and the IH35 corridor counties (Hays, Travis and Williamson) until 9pm tonight.

(2) As clouds break late tonight into Friday and the weekend, well below average temperatures will continue with hard freezes expected in the overnight hours tonight as well as Friday and through the weekend and early next week.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting and average 0.10 inch rainfall for our area over the next seven days (mainly this afternoon).

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
