AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) As we start the new week, a strong upper level low pressure area and surface cold front is approaching the area. It will move overhead, in bits and pieces, beginning later today into tonight and tomorrow with a strong surface cold front passing overhead by early tomorrow evening and then a lingering upper air low pressure disturbance tomorrow night back on top of the much colder air which may result in some freezing/frozen precipitation in northernmost areas.
(2) Skies will clear in the wake of the system for Thursday and Friday and pretty much through the weekend. A passing upper air low pressure disturbance and an associated weak reinforcing cold front will move southeastward through the area by late morning into midday Saturday but limited moisture availability will mean that the only sensible weather with the system will be a wind shift.
