AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) With surface low pressure developing over west Texas, we’ll see a return south southeasterly surface wind over the next 24 hours. Temperatures will be warming, with abundant sunshine, to above seasonal averages through tomorrow.

(2) Another cold front will move quickly through the area late tomorrow night with a few clouds but, other than the wind shift and the arrival of the cooler air, I am not expecting much in the way of sensible weather to accompany the frontal passage.

(3) Skies will partially clear with temperatures falling back to below seasonal averages for our weekend into next week. Another weaker cold front is expected to pass by early Monday; basically, it will reinforce the cooler air mass already in place.

(4) With abundant sunshine, as the surface high in the wake of the weak front Monday moves to the east and southerly surface winds return, temperatures will warm a bit – in fact, back to above seasonal averages – by Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of yet another cold frontal passage on late Wednesday night.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting no rainfall for our area over the next seven days.
