AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) In the wake of the disturbance and front which passed in the overnight hours, skies have cleared with abundant sunshine and warmer temperatures today and through our upcoming weekend.
(2) Another passing upper air low pressure disturbance will pass west-to-east over south Texas by late Sunday into early next week with a more unsettled weather pattern with increased clouds and rain chances by late Sunday night and continuing into Monday.
(3) After a break in the clouds and rain chances Monday night into Tuesday, another stronger upper level disturbance and associated strong cold front moves through Texas by next Wednesday.
(4) In the wake of the cold front, much colder modified Arctic air will move southward into Texas. Latest guidance strongly suggests that the coldest air, in the wake of the front, will remain east and northeast of Texas. Although some clouds will remain in place, I am not including, at this time, any precipitation for Wednesday night into Thursday in the wake of the front back in the colder air.
NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting 0.50 to 0.75 inch rainfall for our area over the next seven days.
MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high confidence forecast through the remainder of the week.. the weekend and through next Thursday.
