… A Threat of Lightning with Thunderstorms Later This Afternoon …

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) Another upper air disturbance, moving from northwest to southeast across our area, will once again give us slim thunderstorm winds in the 3pm to 8pm time frame today following a day that will be mostly sunny with above average temperatures. Frequent lightning and gusty winds will accompany any of the thunderstorms later today.

(2) A drier and more stable weather pattern unfolds again beginning tomorrow and continuing for the balance of the week into next weekend.

TODAY…. Some morning low clouds otherwise partly cloudy with widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat after 3pm. A 20%chance of rain; where rainfall occurs, it will average less than 0.25″. High 100. Light wind becoming easterly 4 to 8 mph. Winds strong, variable and gusty around any late afternoon thunderstorms.
