SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A cold front is moving southward deep into Texas and perhaps into our local area today with an increasing chance of rain and thunderstorms today into early tonight.

(2) A drier and more stable weather pattern will develop, with abundant sunshine, for Friday into the weekend and into the first half of next week with afternoon high temperatures warming to well above seasonal averages. Heat indices to near 105 degrees are likely for the time period.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting rainfall of 0.25 inch over our area for the next seven day period.

TODAY…. Mostly cloudy. Rain showers and thunderstorms becoming more numerous with an associated lightning threat as a weak cold front moves into the area by late in the afternoon. Given a 70% chance of rain at any given location, rainfall amounts will average 0.25 inch. High 87. Southerly wind 8 to 15 mph shifting light and variable.

TONIGHT…. Widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat mainly before 8pm. Becoming partly cloudy afterwards. Given a 20% chance of rain at any given location, rainfall amounts will average 0.10 inch. Low 67. Light and variable wind.
