AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A dry and stable weather pattern prevails with surface high pressure shifting east of the area with a return to south southeasterly surface.

(2) By the end of the week, with much warmer temperatures and a return to a southerly surface wind flow, enough low level moisture will return for increased cloud cover and a slightly more unstable air mass by Friday through the weekend.

(3) With atmospheric pressure lowering over the south central states and a slightly more unstable atmosphere, we’ll also see some isolated to widely scattered patches of rain and rain showers mainly in areas east of the IH35 corridor by Saturday into Sunday with a slightly better chance locally by Sunday night into early Monday as a weak cold front presses southeastward into the area.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting 0.25 inch or less of  precipitation over the next seven days.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
