SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) Even though it is still basically remain in place, the upper level high is centered more to the north of the area and this will mean a little less “lid” on the atmosphere. As a result, expect very limited rain chances today into tonight mainly southeast of the IH35 corridor. Temperatures will continue to be above seasonal averages.
(2) By tomorrow and continuing through the latter part of the week and into Saturday, with the upper level high pressure area continuing to be to our distant north and northwest, a series of weak disturbances will move west southwestward into our area. As a result, we’ll see widely scattered to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms for our area tomorrow with the best chances on Thursday. Rain chances will decrease but still remain in the forecast Friday into Saturday.
(3) By the late in the weekend into early next week, the upper level high will once again become a little stronger overhead with rain chances dropping from the forecast. As this occurs, afternoon high temperatures will rise once again with some triple digit afternoon high temperatures returning.
NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting rainfall of 0.25″ or less over our area over the next seven day forecast period.
