WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

… Some Residual Flooding in Areas East Through South of Austin Today …

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Most of the precipitation will be east of the area today as a more stable atmosphere returns to the area in the wake of a weak cold frontal passage by afternoon.

(2) A stronger cold front will pass during the day tomorrow but no precipitation is expected.

(3) Much cooler and drier air with abundant sunshine will prevail for late Friday through our upcoming weekend into early next week as surface high pressure.. very fall like in nature.. settles over Texas.

(4) As high pressure moves east of the area, another cold front will sweep southeastward through the area on Wednesday with little or no precipitation.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, over the next seven days, is predicting little if any precipitation.

TODAY…. Decreasing clouds by afternoon becoming partly cloudy as a weak cold front passes. High 85. South southeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph becoming more northwesterly in the afternoon.

TONIGHT…. Partly cloudy. Low 69. Light wind.

FRIDAY…. Mostly sunny. Turning breezy, cooler and less humid as a stronger cold front passes in the afternoon. High 84 before the cold front passes then falling back to near 80. Southwesterly winds shifting northwesterly 8 to 18 mph and gusty in the afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT…. Mostly clear and cooler. Low 54. North northwesterly wind 8 to 15 mph with some higher gusts.

SATURDAY…. Sunshine. High 74. Northerly wind 8 to 15 mph with some higher gusts.
