…. A Dry and Stable Weather Pattern ….
…. Warmer Temperatures in Store ….

On this Thursday morning…. a surface high pressure area is over northern Louisiana southward over the western Gulf of Mexico. A trough.. or line.. of low pressure extends southward from western Kansas into west Texas. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our surface winds are northerly across our area.

In the upper levels of the atmosphere… the counterclockwise rotating upper level low pressure continues around Hudson Bay with a strong upper level low pressure disturbance over the Appalachian. As a result of this upper air wind pattern, the upper level winds over south central Texas and the Austin metro area about 18,000 feet above the ground are northwesterly at 45 to 55 mph.

A dry and stable weather pattern continues across our area.

As the surface high pressure area.. to our east.. continues to move eastward. As a result, southerly surface winds are returning to our area. With a few high clouds, abundant sunshine will allow temperatures to warm, over the coming days, to well above seasonal averages.

Clouds will increase a little bit over the weekend as south southeasterly surface winds prevail.

Another cold front.. dry in nature.. will move across our area about midnight Monday night with a little cooler temperatures to prevail into the middle part of next week with abundant sunshine continuing.

Regarding my forecast, my local forecast confidence: My confidence in my forecast is high to very high over the next seven day forecast period.
