WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) Plenty of sunshine will prevail with somewhat cooler temperatures prevailing today and tomorrow.

(2) A southerly wind returns with increased low level moisture and warming temperatures for the Easter weekend.

(3) A series of cold fronts will move through the area Sunday into Sunday evening with a few rain showers and thunderstorms possible as early as late Saturday night and continuing into Sunday. A few stronger thunderstorms are possible mainly in areas north and northeast of Austin.

(4)Clearing and less humid conditions will prevail in the wake of the fronts for Monday.

(5) Our next series of upper level low pressure disturbances will begin to move over the area by Tuesday into Wednesday as a more unstable atmosphere develops and low level moisture returns from the Gulf of Mexico. I’m including a few rain showers and thunderstorms for the period.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting less than 0.25 inch over the area over the next seven day period.

TONIGHT…. A few clouds. Low 58. East southeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph.

FRIDAY…. Partly cloudy. High 86. Light southeasterly wind becoming southerly 5 to 12 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT…. Partly cloudy early with low clouds late. Low 67. Southeasterly wind 5 to 10 mph with some higher gusts.

SATURDAY…. Morning low clouds then becoming partly cloudy and unseasonably warm. High 93. Southerly wind increasing to 8 to 15 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT…. Partly cloudy early becoming mostly cloudy late. Low 68. South southeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph.

SUNDAY /EASTER/…. Morning low clouds then becoming partly cloudy and unseasonably warm with widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat as a series of cold fronts moving through by late afternoon.
