AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A typical humid spring weather pattern continues over the area. Overall, very little in the way in a precipitation trigger mechanism is expected with a dry (but increasingly humid) weather pattern continuing at least through the remainder of the week. However, a few sprinkles / very light drizzle are once again possible over the next few mornings with morning low clouds but rainfall amounts will be minimal.

(2) Our next upper level low pressure disturbance will move over Texas by Saturday night into Sunday as a cold front pushes south southeastward into Texas. The latest guidance now suggests that the front moves across the IH35 corridor in the early morning hours on Monday. With increasing atmospheric instability and higher moisture level, I will continue with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms beginning late Sunday into Monday for the IH35 corridor.

(3) Rain chances may linger as cooler temperatures follow the cold frontal passage Monday into Monday evening. Skies will partially clear as drier and more stable air moves into the area after midnight Monday night and into Tuesday and Wednesday.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance has increased the amounts expected; 0.50 to 1.00 inch of rain is now expected over our area over the next seven day period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high to very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
