AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) A dry and stable weather pattern continues over our area as surface high pressure prevails overhead.
(2) As lower pressure develops over the western USA and our surface area of high pressure overhead now moves eastward, we’ll see a return southerly surface wind for the area by tomorrow through our upcoming weekend into next week with temperatures warming to well above seasonal averages.
(3) The next upper level low pressure storm system and associated surface cold front will move deeper into Texas by next Tuesday night into Wednesday with a mention of rain showers and thunderstorms now added to the forecast. Initial guidance suggests that there may be, once again, a severe thunderstorm risk across parts of Texas in this time period.
NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting 0.25 to 0.50 inch over our area over the next seven day period.
MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
