AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A developing low pressure area and cold front over the Rockies has returned a return south southeasterly wind flow continuing with increased cloud cover. As the system gets closer, we’ll see a few sprinkles and rain showers late tonight and then rain and thunderstorms beginning by afternoon tomorrow and tomorrow night into Wednesday morning before the a cold front passes east-to-east through the area by Wednesday. Based on NWS/Storm Prediction Center guidance, a few of the storms may be severe but mainly in areas north of Austin.

(2) Skies on Wednesday will clear as drier air moves in with somewhat cooler temperatures prevailing for Thursday and Friday in the wake of the front.

(3) A southerly wind returns with increased low level moisture and warming temperatures for the Easter weekend.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting less than 0.25 inch over the area over the next seven day period.
