WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) In the wake of a strong upper air disturbance and cold front yesterday, clouds will remain in place with a chance of rain today before we see the clouds break tonight with sunshine returning tomorrow and through the weekend.

(2) Another even stronger cold front with increased clouds with rain chances expected by Monday into Tuesday. Much colder temperatures will follow as clouds persist into Monday night and early Tuesday morning with the possibility of a rain/snow mix. Clouds will break with much below average temperatures into the middle part of next week.

(3) Clouds will increase again by next Thursday with the approach of yet another upper air low pressure storm system and cold front.

TODAY…. Mostly cloudy and unseasonably cool with patchy light rain. Where rainfall occurs, given a 50% chance of rain, it will average 0.10″ or less. High 49. Northerly wind 8 to 15 mph with some higher gusts.

TONIGHT…. Mostly cloudy before midnight then becoming partly cloudy. Low 41. Northerly wind 4 to 8 mph.

SATURDAY…. Mostly sunny. High 68. Light northeasterly wind early becoming more east southeasterly 5 to 10 mph by afternoon.

SATURDAY NIGHT…. Mostly clear. Low 44. Light southeasterly wind.

SUNDAY…. Becoming partly to mostly cloudy. High 71. South southeasterly wind 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT…. Mostly cloudy with widely scattered rain showers developing after midnight. Where rainfall occurs, given a 20% chance of rain, it will average trace amounts. Low 59. South southeasterly wind 4 to 8 mph.

MONDAY /VETERANS DAY/…. Mostly cloudy and becoming windy. Turning much cooler with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat as a cold front moves through the area before midday. Where rainfall occurs, given a 60% chance of rain, it will average 0.25″. High 65 with temperatures falling into the 40s in the afternoon. South southwesterly wind shifting northerly 20 to 30 mph with some higher gusts.

MONDAY NIGHT…. Mostly cloudy, windy and much colder with a few sprinkles possibly becoming mixed with light snow. Where precipitation occurs, given a 60% chance of precipitation, it will average 0.10″ or less. Little or no snow accumulation.  Low 30. Northerly wind 20 to 30 mph with some higher gusts.

TUESDAY…. A few periods of light rain and/or light snow before 8am. Where precipitation occurs, given a 40%chance of precipitation, it will average trace amounts. No snow accumulation. Decreasing clouds in the morning becoming partly cloudy. Unseasonably cold. High 43. Northerly wind 15 to 25 mph and gusty.

TUESDAY NIGHT…. Partly cloudy with a freeze area wide. Low 27. Winds decreasing to become north northeasterly 5 to 12 mph.

WEDNESDAY…. Mostly sunny and continued unseasonably cold. High 53. Northeasterly wind 4 to 8 mph.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT…. Increasing clouds becoming mostly cloudy. A few sprinkles possible after midnight. Where rainfall occurs, given a 20% chance of rain, it will average trace amounts. Low 38. Light east northeasterly wind.

THURSDAY…. Partly to mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles as a cold front passes by midday. Where rainfall occurs, given a 20% chance of rain, it will average trace amounts. High 59. Light east southeasterly wind early shifting north northeasterly 5 to 10 mph.
