AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) High pressure has built into Texas in the wake of the upper air low pressure storm system and associated cold front that passed over the weekend. A freeze/hard freeze is likely over most of south central Texas overnight tonight into Tuesday.

(2) The high pressure area will move east of the area by tomorrow as another upper level low pressure storm system and surface cold front moves across Texas late tomorrow night into the predawn hours on Wednesday. I doubt how much low level moisture will be able to return in advance of the system but nevertheless I will include increased cloud cover and very slim rain chances for the period from midnight to 6am Wednesday as the dynamic system passes.

(3) Following the mid week front, strong high pressure from the western USA and Canada
will build over Texas with abundant sunshine and below average temperatures continuing into next weekend.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, for the IH35 corridor over the next seven days, indicates less than 0.25″ of rainfall.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
Very High Confidence Through Tuesday
High Confidence for Tuesday Night (Reference Overnight Rain Chances)
