AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A dry and stable weather pattern is expected over the area over the next 24 hours as high pressure, that settled south in the wake of the cold front late Friday, moves east of the area.

(2) A dry and stronger cold front will pass the area by the late afternoon hours tomorrow with gusty northerly winds and much cooler temperatures due tomorrow night into Wednesday. High pressure, in the wake of the front, will move east of the area by Wednesday night into Thursday with a return south southeasterly surface wind flow.

(3) As a warm front lifts northeastward through the area, low level moisture will return with increased clouds and humidity Thursday into Thursday night with rain chances returning to the IH35 corridor by Thursday night.

(4) An approaching strong upper level low pressure disturbance and associated cold front will surge east southeastward over the area Friday into Friday night. As it moves across the area, we’ll see increased and dynamic atmospheric lift combining with increased atmospheric instability and the available moisture to produce scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms.. some of which be strong with a hail and straight line thunderstorm wind threat. Once the front passes by late Friday night, precipitation will taper off quickly with drier and more stable air overspreading the area.

(5) A pleasant weekend with a mix of clouds and sunshine is in store for the area Saturday and Sunday with temperatures at or slightly below seasonal averages.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance, over the next seven days, is forecasting 0.25″ to 0.50″ rainfall for the IH35 corridor.
