WEATHER HAZARDS THROUGH 12 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT…

.. A Few Thunderstorms with Isolated Lightning Strikes Through Tonight ..

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) An broad upper air low pressure disturbance is slowly moving across Texas from the west. With a more unstable atmosphere in place, cloud cover and rain chances will continue as a strong cold front moves through Texas by midday today with an overrunning weather pattern expected, with trailing eastward moving upper air disturbances resulting in a cloudy, chilly and wet weather prevailing into Thursday.

(2) Even though precipitation and clouds will take a bit of a break later Thursday into Friday, clouds are likely to thicken again by the weekend as another upper air disturbance moves back in with slim rain chances by the weekend.

TODAY…. Cloudy and unseasonably warm this morning. Turning cooler with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with an associated lightning risk as a cold front passes by midday into early afternoon. A 50% chance of rain; where rainfall occurs, it will average .25″ or less. High 73 in the midday hours with temperatures falling into the 50s in the afternoon. Southerly wind shifting northerly 8 to 18 mph.

TONIGHT…. Cloudy and colder with numerous rain showers and a few thunderstorms with an associated lightning risk. A 70% chance of rain; where rainfall occurs, it will average .25″. Low 46. Northerly wind 8 to 15 mph.

WEDNESDAY…. Cloudy and unseasonably cold with light rain and occasional rain showers. A 80% chance of rain; where rainfall occurs, it will average .25″ to .50″. High 49. Northerly wind 5 to 12 mph.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT…. Cloudy with light rain and rain showers.  A 90% chance of rain; where rainfall occurs, it will average .25″ to .50″. Low 41. North northeasterly wind 5 to 12 mph.

SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) An upper air low pressure disturbance is approaching Texas from the west. As our atmosphere turns more unstable, clouds will increase and rain chances will return by late tonight into tomorrow as another strong cold front moves through Texas by mid morning tomorrow with an overrunning weather pattern with a cloudy, chilly and wet weather prevailing tomorrow into Thursday.

(2) Even though precipitation will take a break Thursday into Friday, clouds are likely to persist in a weak overrunning pattern with unseasonably cool temperatures continuing.

(3) Another upper air disturbance will result in slim rain chances again by the weekend.
