AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) In the wake of the upper level low pressure storm system and the severe weather outbreak locally yesterday, a drier and more stable weather pattern is taking hold over our area. Surface high pressure is building south southeastward from the Rockies and plains and will remain in place through the remainder of the week. A weak reinforcing cold front will move southeastward over the area on Thursday but this will produce little in the way of sensible weather but rather just reinforcing the air mass in place.

(2) As lower pressure develops over the western USA and a cold front moves eastward from the Rockies, we’ll see a return southerly surface wind for the area for our upcoming weekend into next week with temperatures warming to well above seasonal averages.

NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting no precipitation over our area over the next seven day period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
A very high confidence forecast through the 7 day forecast period.
