AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
(1) Southerly winds increased resulting in return low level moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and above average temperatures as we begin the new week.
(2) The next upper level low pressure storm system and associated surface cold front will move through Texas by tomorrow night into the predawn hours Wednesday with a good chance of rain showers and thunderstorms with some stronger thunderstorms possible primarily in areas north of Austin.
(3) In the wake of the cold front, passing the local area during the morning hours Wednesday, drier and cooler air will once again take hold locally with plenty of sunshine by midday Wednesday and continuing into the upcoming weekend.
NWS/Weather Prediction Center rainfall guidance is predicting around 0.25 inch over our area over the next seven day period.
