AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) A stronger upper air low pressure disturbance will move overhead by this afternoon with rain and a few thunderstorms peaking before then. As the upper air disturbance moves by, a much stronger cold front will surge through the area by afternoon today.
(2) In the wake of this stronger cold front, clouds and rain chances will clear the area overnight tonight as much colder temperatures (a modified arctic air mass) take hold across the area.
(3) A weak reinforcing cold front will move through the area Friday night. Even so, clear skies and/or plenty of sunshine is expected tomorrow through Friday and through the weekend with temperatures continuing well below seasonal averages.
(4) By early next week, a south southeasterly surface wind will become reestablished with more clouds and warmer temperatures. By Tuesday, early indications are that another cold front will be moving deep into Texas with rain chances reappearing in the forecast.
