SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) As a strong upper level low pressure approaches the area from the west, we’ll see rain chances reappear in the forecast by late tonight into tomorrow.

(2) In the wake of the upper air disturbance, a strong cold front will surge southeastward across Texas tomorrow with scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms expected potentially yielding up to 1 inch of rainfall.

(3) Skies will partially clear with cooler temperatures expected by Friday afternoon into Friday night through the weekend.

(4) Another stronger cold front with increased clouds with rain chances expected by early next week.

TONIGHT…. Mostly cloudy with widely scattered rain showers developing after midnight. Where rainfall occurs, given a 20% chance of rain, it will average 0.10″ or less. Low 63. South southeasterly wind 4 to 8 mph.

THURSDAY…. Cloudy with rain showers and a few thunderstorms with an associated lightning threat as a cold front passes midday into the afternoon. Turning windy and cooler. Where rainfall occurs, given a 80% chance of rain, it will average 0.50″ to 1.00″. High 73 with temperatures falling into the 50s in the afternoon. South southeasterly wind shifting northerly 10 to 20 mph and gusty.

THURSDAY NIGHT…. Cloudy, windy and cooler with scattered rain showers mainly before midnight. Where rainfall occurs, given a 30% chance of rain, it will average 0.25″ or less. Decreasing clouds after midnight. Low 46. Northerly wind 10 to 20 mph with some higher gusts.
