AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…
(1) The atmosphere will continue to be quite stable locally today into tomorrow as a cold front moves south southeastward across the Red River.
(2) As the air mass destabilizes a bit, the front will wash out as it approaches our area tomorrow night into Friday; in advance of the front, I will maintain slim rain chances in the forecast for the time period.
(2) By late in the day Friday, the front is expected to wash out overhead or just south of our area as the atmosphere becomes more stable once again.
(3) A more stable environment will prevail with sunshine for the upcoming weekend with temperatures continuing to be well above average.
(4) A significant cold front is on tap for late Sunday night into Monday morning with a slim chance of rain and a cooler temperatures to follow. For the first time in a while, temperatures following the front will be closer to season averages (what we expect this time of year).
