SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES…

(1) A few rain showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into this evening

(2) An otherwise dry and stable weather pattern continues as upper level high pressure continues to act like a “lid” on the atmosphere tomorrow through Friday with rain chances dropped from the forecast. As a result, plenty of sunshine can be expected over the next few days with well above average temperatures. Afternoon heat index will reach upwards of 105° in the afternoon hours.

(3) A west-to-east passing trough of upper level low pressure, well to our north, will weaken the upper level high pressure over our area slightly by the weekend. I really question how much this will result in any rain chances locally, but I will continue, in a low confidence forecast, slim rain chances for Saturday.

(4) Any rain chances that appear Saturday will be dropped from the forecast Sunday as upper level high pressure strengthens a bit with a more stable weather pattern once again becoming established into next week.

(5) I do not see any cold frontal passages / change of air masses over the next seven days.
