… A Weak Reinforcing Cold Front Due Tonight …
… A Dry and Mostly Stable Weather Pattern Continues …
… A Warming Trend Kicks Back In For Next Week …

On this Friday… surface high pressure extends northwestward from north Texas back through the Rockies and intermountain west. As a result, our surface winds across south central Texas are northerly.

In the upper levels of the atmosphere.. a broad area of upper level low pressure.. or a trough/line of upper air low pressure.. extends southwestward from well east of Hudson Bay southwestward over the central plains then over the southwestern USA. Our upper level winds, at about 18,500 feet overhead, are west southwesterly 80 to 90 mph.

A dry and stable weather pattern continues across our area with the surface high that is in place over the state.

An upper level low pressure area and an associated weak reinforcing cold front will pass the area late tonight into Saturday with an increasing/thickening cloud cover but little else in sensible weather.

We’ll see seasonal temperatures through the weekend with a warming trend setting in next week.

I do not expect any precipitation over the next seven days with temperatures close to seasonal levels.

Have a good Friday….
