TK’s Weather Discussion….

Updated 915am CT – Friday / 27 March 2015

.. Plenty of Sunshine and Warmer Temperatures Today Through the Weekend ..
.. Another Mention of Rain Tuesday into Tuesday Night ..

On this Friday morning…. a surface high pressure area is over the Rio Grande River region from Del Rio to near Eagle Pass. As a result of this surface weather pattern, our local surface winds are westerly.

In the upper levels of the atmosphere.. a deep trough.. or line.. of upper level low pressure is situated from Hudson Bay southward through the southern Mississippi Valley and the northern Gulf of Mexico. As a result, our upper air winds at about 18,500 feet are northwesterly at 50 to 60 mph.

Abundant sunshine.. will prevail today through our weekend. A pretty stout warming trend is expected through the weekend and into early next week.

A passing upper air low pressure disturbance will result in the introduction of slim precipitation chances by next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Regarding my forecast, my local forecast confidence: My forecast confidence is very high as a more stable weather pattern prevails into early next week. Forecast confidence drops back to medium to high by next Tuesday and Wednesday with the approach of an upper air low pressure disturbance and associated precipitation chances.

Have a good Friday….
